NOTICE OF DOCTRINE Sacred Monastic Order, Church of Hope, International (hereinafter "the Order") gives public notice of the following doctrinal position, held and taught within the Order as sacred instruction: 1. The concept of homeostasis (Cannon, 1932), borrowed from the physics of thermodynamic equilibrium, is not an adequate description of living health. Living systems are rhythmic, adaptive, whole-flow systems. 2. The therapeutic goal of the Order's monastic medicine is HOLORHESIS — rhythmic adaptive whole-flow dynamic coherence — and its lived expression, HŌLOUS™. 3. Disease is understood not as a deviation from homeostasis but as a homeostasis of its own: a PATHOLOGICAL HOMEOSTASIS, a locked set-point. Restoring measurements to a normal range does not of itself break that pattern. This notice records the doctrine as taught and practised within the Order for its consenting members.
